1 <br /> MAR 0 2 2016 <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL <br /> 302 Outdated portable eye wash stations have been replaced , and additional eye wash stations have <br /> been installed in other locations in the shop . One spill kit is located in the room that houses the <br /> waste oil tank . <br /> 303 An overfill warning device has been installed on the waste oil tank . When the oil capacity <br /> approaches 85 % of capacity flashing amber led strobe light will come on and alert staff not to fill <br /> the tank . All staff that uses the waste oil tank has been trained to what the flashing light means . <br /> Also panic buttons have been installed which will allow staff to alert others to a problem on site . <br /> Training is being provided to staff to how to activate the alarms and the reason for activating <br /> The oil in the secondary containment area was removed and disposed of appropriately . On <br /> occasion oil would be spilled into the secondary containment area and was not cleaned up <br /> immediately . Staff has been instructed to clean all spills immediately . The tank was pressure <br /> tested by an independent party , tank tested good for no leaks . See attached results <br /> The secondary containment for the diesel fuel tank had watered present . This was due to rain <br /> water entering the secondary containment area which was uncovered at the time of <br /> inspection . A cover has been installed and will prevent rain water from entering secondary <br /> containment area . This area will be monitored weekly and if there is any liquid present it will <br /> be removed and disposed of in the appropriate manner . <br /> 403 All hazardous waste drums containers are sealed except for filling the container with <br /> hazardous waste and then resealed with the proper ring and locking device all staff been <br /> instructed and trained on requirement . <br /> 407 Staff have been trained that containers have to be labeled correctly and all containers cannot be <br /> onsite more than 90 days from time new container arrives on site . They have been instructed to <br /> look for missing and destroyed labels and to advise their supervisors of the label situation <br /> immediately containers are inspected and noted on check list weekly <br /> 501 Tank assessment was performed and it passed see attached assessment report . <br /> 506 An over fill device has been installed and a daily inspection check list has been developed and <br /> inspections are being performed daily for the waste oil tank <br /> 605 The 55 gallon container of waste absorbent that lacked the accumulation start date has been <br /> removed from site by waste hauler along with the 55 gallon container of waste antifreeze . All <br /> Hazardous waste 55 gallon containers are labeled with accumulation date composition physical <br /> state, hazardous properties, name and address of generator and the words Hazardous waste . <br />
