After Procedure: <br /> Doff gloves, wash hands. <br /> Answer questions regarding procedure. <br /> Provide post procedure instructions with emphasis of Signs and <br /> symptoms of Infection. <br /> Wash hands, don gloves. <br /> Place all used or discarded sharps waste in sharps waste <br /> container. <br /> Wash and disinfect reusable instruments with appropriate <br /> disinfectant according to manufacturer's instructions. <br /> Dispose of all disposable soiled items in appropriate disposal <br /> container. <br /> Decontaminate workstation and procedure areas to include, <br /> but not limited to light, chair's, workstation table, countertops <br /> and trays immediately with disinfectant , used according to <br /> manufacturer's directions. ( To be visibly wet on surface for (2) <br /> minutes.) <br /> Mop floor using diluted bleach according to manufacture <br /> recommendation. <br /> Ceiling and walls will be cleaned with appropriate disinfectant at least every <br /> 6 months and more often as exposure indicates. <br /> Drapes in workstation room will be laundered every 4 months and more <br /> often as exposure indicates. <br />
