Disinfection Products: List the disinfectant products used at the body art facility. <br /> Cavacide, Opticide, Madacide, Clorox, Lysol, Green Soap, Alcohol, Cross zyme, Pine sol, Povidine- <br /> Iodine, Antiseptic mouthwash(h2ocean or Listerine), and Dial soap are the disinfecting products used at <br /> this facility. <br /> L. Time and Temperature: List the duration of time and temperature of the autoclave required for the <br /> sterilization of clean instruments. Indicate whether a sterilization log is maintained on site. Indicate <br /> whether each sterilization load is tested using class 5 integrators. <br /> Time: 30 minutes <br /> Temperature:260-265 degrees <br /> Psi: <br /> A sterilization log is maintained on site and each load is tested with class 5 integrators. <br /> M. Personal Protective Equipment: List the personal protective equipment used during a body art <br /> procedure. <br /> During a tattoo the following protective equipment is used; Gloves, Aprons, Arm sleeves, and on <br /> certain tattoos, face masks are used. During a body piercing the following equipment is used; Gloves, <br /> facemasks for some piercing. Arm sleeves and aprons are not needed for a body piercing. <br /> N. Hand Washing Sink: List the locations of the hand wash sinks and describe the items supplied at each <br /> sink. <br /> The hand washing sink is located in the center of the of the lobby and is supplied with hand soap, <br /> paper towels and hand sanitizes. <br /> O. Aftercare Procedure: Describe the written recommendations and care provided to the client after a <br /> body art procedure. <br /> After a client has gotten a new tattoo they are instructed to wash the tattoo with an <br /> antimicrobial/antibacterial soap such as liquid dial at least 3 times a day until the tattoo is completely <br /> healed. In addition to using the soap,the clients are instructed to use some type of moisturizer on it such <br /> as aqua phor, lotion, or h2oceans tattoo aftercare products until the tattoo is healed. <br /> After a client has gotten a new piercing they are instructed to wash the piercing with an <br /> antimicrobial/antibacterial soap such as liquid dial at least three times a day until the piercing is <br /> completely healed. In addition to using the soap, the clients are instructed to use some type of piercing <br /> aftercare spray such as h2oceans aftercare products or a mixture of sea salt and warm water for the skin <br /> until the piercing is completely healed. For oral piercings, clients are instructed to rinse with h2oceans <br /> mouthwash or any antiseptic mouthwash until the piercing is completely healed. <br /> All tattoo and piercing clients are also instructed on things to avoid such as exposure to direct <br /> sunlight, gardening, swimming and contact with anything else that may prolong the healing time. Clients <br /> are also instructed to look out for signs of infection such as dark discharge, excessive swelling,pain and <br /> dark lines going from the newly pierced tattoo or piercing to the heart and when to seek medical <br /> attention. <br /> 1/22/2013 <br />
