Telephone: (702)445-3388 <br /> A. Decontamination and Disinfection: Describe the procedures for decontaminating <br /> and disinfecting of workstation and surfaces. <br /> 1. Workstation surfaces/countertops: All surfaces that are used or touched by a <br /> practitioner or customer during a tattoo are sprayed with a cide (cavacide, opticide, etc.) <br /> and allowed to sit for 3-5 minutes before being wiped off, before and after all tattoos are <br /> performed. The garbage is emptied at least once to twice daily and the garbage cans are <br /> sprayed and cleaned with a cide once a week. The floors of the workstation are swept and <br /> mopped twice daily (once before we open for business and once after the business is <br /> closed for the day). If there is a high volume of foot traffic throughout the day in the <br /> workstation, it will be swept and mopped at least once more. The walls in the workstation <br /> are sprayed with a cide and wiped down at least once a week as well. <br /> 2. Workstation chairs/stools: All workstation chairs and stools are sprayed with a cide <br /> and allowed to soak for 3-5 minutes before being wiped off, before and after all tattoos <br /> are performed. <br /> 3. Trays: All trays are sprayed with a cide and allowed to soak for 3-5 minutes before <br /> being wiped off,before and after all tattoos are performed. <br /> 4. Armrests: All armrests are sprayed with a cide and allowed to soak for 3-5 minutes <br /> before being wiped off, before and after all tattoos are performed. <br /> 5. Headrests: All headrests are sprayed with a cide and allowed to soak for 3-5 minutes <br /> before being wiped off,before and after all tattoos are performed. <br /> 6. Procedure area: The procedure areas are down with a cide and allowed to soak for 3-5 <br /> minutes before being wiped off,before and after all tattoos are performed. Any hand <br /> mirrors used in the procedure area are sprayed with a cide at least once daily and allowed <br /> to soak for 3-5 minutes before being wiped off. <br /> 7. Tables: All tables are sprayed down with a cide and allowed to soak for 3-5 minutes <br /> before being wiped off, before and after all tattoos are performed. <br /> 8.
