CIAL CONDITIONS AND LIM1141IONS <br />In general., the intent of the Code is that all contaminated wastes <br />may be discharged into the sanitary sewer provided they do not contain <br />substances which will damage sewerage structures, increase maintenance <br />costs,interfere with operation of the sewage treatment plant or create <br />hazards to maintenance personnel. Examples of prohibited substances are <br />acids, inflammables, oil and grease, heavy solids and substances capable <br />of releasing toxic or excessively odorous gases, etc. Storm water or <br />uncontaminated cooling water shall not be discharged into the sanitary <br />sewer. All required pretreatment facilities must be regularly cleaned <br />and maintained in good operating conditions. <br />Industrial liquid wastes shall be pretreated by use of the following <br />facilities approved by the Director of Public Works prior to discharge <br />into the sanitary sewer: <br />A standard pretreatment facility. <br />(XA A grease interceptor. <br />A garbage grinder. <br />Special facilities and/or provisions: <br />(a) Pormittee shall install a grease interceptor of a type and <br />capacity to pretreat such wastes to a condition acceptable to <br />the City of STockton's sewerage systems and shall be located <br />as to be readily accessible for cleaning and inspection. <br />(XFurther special conditions and/or limitations are attached to <br />and made a part of this Permit. <br />The pipe elbows and/or steel baffles must be in place <br />at all times as per enclosed Drawing No. 33. <br />
