Page 2 <br /> Attachment: <br /> j Describe your medical waste emergency action plan including procedures for <br /> handling blood spills, exposures, equipment failures, etc.: <br /> All spills are contained immediately and cleaned up by employees or <br /> others properly trained and equipped to work with potentially <br /> concentrated infectious materials. <br /> A spill or accident that results in an exposure are reported immediately <br /> to Vienna's First Responders,Department Heads and the Administrator. <br /> Vienna offers the Hepatitis B vaccine and vaccination series <br /> to all employees who have occupational exposure, and post exposure <br /> evaluation and follow-up. <br /> Vienna provides, at no cost to the employee, appropriate personal <br /> protective equipment(PPE)such as,but not limited to gloves, gowns , <br /> face shields or masks, eye protection, etc. or other devices. <br /> Handwashing facilities and antiseptic hand cleansers are available to <br /> employees including residents, family members and visitors. <br /> Equipment that has become contaminated with blood or other potentially <br /> infectious materials are cleaned and decontaminated immediately. <br /> Decontamination is accomplished by utilizing bleach solutions or <br /> EPA registered chemicals. <br />
