Vienna utilizes the <br /> services of a registered contractor for the removal and treatment of medical waste. Medical waste is <br /> pick up once a week,every Tuesday by Stericycle Inc. and transported to an offsite facility for <br /> treatment and disposal. <br /> In the event that service by the medical waste transporter and or the contractor cannot provide services <br /> within a reasonable time, contingencies include use of an alternate hauler or retention of the medical <br /> waste for not more than seven days from the point of generation above 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Another <br /> contingency is to contact the local enforcement agency for guidance at San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department,600 East Main Street Stockton,CA 95202 Tel. #(209)468-3420. <br />
