Unit staff person changing and/or removing dressings disposes of <br /> the dressing in the following manner: <br /> +r - .1 a. remove dressing from the wound and place in a plastic <br /> bag (obtained from housekeeping) and then close by knotting <br />=t} top of bag. <br /> b. place the plastic bag in the red hazardous infectious waste <br /> container located in closet designated hazardous infections <br /> waste at east wing and is lined with a red isolation bag.
