Provide employees with information and necessary equipment to assure a safe, <br />healthy work environment. Provide a method for evaluating the effectiveness <br />of the program in maintaining a safe, healthy environment for employees, <br />patients, visitors, and residents of the community. <br />All employees, during initial orientation and annually thereafter, will be <br />trained/informed of: <br />1. The Hazardous Substance Program <br />2. Its relevance to job performance <br />3. Responsibilities in maintaining the program <br />4. Physical location of the written plan <br />["WNIDIZ01481 <br />The Hazardous Substance Program is developed, implemented, and maintained by the <br />group Administrator. The Administrator will have primary responsibility for the <br />documentation and associated implementation and problem solving as reported by <br />staff/employees. <br />B. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) will be reviewed by each department head <br />where the substance is used. All MSDSs will be forwarded to the Administrator <br />to be included as a part of this plan. This will form the master file. Each <br />department head is responsible for requesting MSDSs from distributor or manufac- <br />turer. <br />C. Annual review of individual department compliance will be conducted by the <br />Administrator/designee. A review will include: <br />1. Inventory update <br />2. MSDS file audit <br />3. Training status <br />The group Administrator/designee is the Emergency Coordinator. Responsibilities <br />include: <br />A. Authorizing all control measures <br />B. Authorizing facility evacuation <br />C. Assuring proper notification of all agencies <br />D. Authorizing all outside services required to contain and/or clean up hazardous <br />substance releases <br />E. Authorizing resumption of work after clean up/decontamination of area <br />This program is intended to fulfill the requirements of all applicable county, <br />state, and federal Occupation Safety and Health regulations. It applies to all <br />employees of Lincoln Family ical Group and outside contractors' employees. <br />
