BFI Medical Waste ystems of CA., Inc. <br />Scope of Service -5- <br />SERVICES AND REQUIREMENTS (continued) <br />Attachment A <br />Contract Number MLT97000 <br />66510 et seq., Title 22, and with applicable provisions of hazardous materials <br />regulations adopted by the Department of the California Highway Patrol, pursuant to <br />Section 34500 and 34501, Vehicle Code, governing containers, packing, labels, <br />marking, vehicle placards, shipping certificates and incident reporting. <br />The contract Institution Project Coordinators can be reached Monday through Friday, <br />as listed below: <br />If the Contractor will not be able to make the normal pick-up day, the Contractor shall <br />notify the Institution Project Coordinator within 24 hours from the normal pick-up time. <br />An alternate pick-up day and/or time will be determined. Alternate pick-up shall be <br />within 48 hours of normal schedule pick-up. <br />Contractor shall maintain an active 24-hour telephone line for direct communication by <br />the institution. <br />Routine Medical Waste handling services are to be provided on a scheduled basis. <br />Non -Routine Medical Waste removal and disposal services are to be provided on an <br />as -needed basis. Non -Routine Medical Waste shall include collection, removal, <br />loading, packaging/repackaging, preparing waste tracking documents, transporting and <br />treatment of all medical wastes that are not specified under the "Routine Medical Waste <br />Handling Services". <br />MEDICAL WASTE HANDLING SERVICE <br />A. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supplies and equipment such as <br />waste tracking documents, plastic bags, containers, etc., for the collection, <br />
