All <br /> Sharps containers must be replaced when they are 2/3 <br /> to /4 full. Sharps containers must not be shaken to make <br /> room for additional sharps, as sharps may bounce or <br /> protrude out of the container. <br /> • Red Biohazard Bags: All red biohazard bags must be <br /> constructed of material of sufficient single thickness strength <br /> to pass the ASTM Standard D1709-85 and be certified by <br /> the manufacturer. The bags must be identified with a <br /> "Biohazard" symbol.
