0 <br />Production Floor Workers will maintain a clean work environment at all times. <br />4.4.2. Procedures <br />• Wash hands before starting work. <br />• Employees are to dress appropriately. <br />• Wear a hair cover that fully covers hair at all times on the production floor. <br />• Wash hands before and after meals, breaks and using the bathroom. <br />4.5. Soil Sorters and CBW Loaders: Donning of Personal <br />Protective Equipment <br />4.5.1. Policy <br />Soil Sorters and CBW Loaders will wear full personal protective equipment at all <br />times in the soil sort area. Masks and caps are disposable and used only once. <br />Gowns and gloves are washed after each use. <br />4.5.2. Procedures <br />• Wash hands before beginning work. <br />• Put on gown. <br />• Secure neck and waistband. <br />• Don cap. <br />• Don mask (must be worn when linen saturated and spattering, splashing or <br />generation of droplets may occur). <br />• Apply over mouth and nose. <br />• Never touch mask after it has been applied. <br />• Secure mask. <br />• Don gloves. <br />• Put on gloves making sure that cuffs of gown are secured. <br />• Change gloves immediately if they become torn or grossly contaminated. <br />• Re -wash hands before donning new gloves. <br />• Don goggles and/or face shield if applicable (must be worn when linen is <br />saturated and spattering, splashing or generation of droplets may occur). <br />• Make sure goggles fit comfortably and securely. <br />• Never touch goggles with gloved hands. <br />4.6. Soil Sorters and CBW Loaders: Removal of Personal <br />Protective Equipment <br />4.6.1. Policy <br />Soil Sorters and CBW Loaders will remove full personal protective equipment before <br />each break, meal and at the end of the shift. <br />4.6.2. Procedures <br />• Unfasten waistband of gown. <br />• Unfasten neckband of gown and remove gown turning it inside out. Roll the <br />gown up so that the contaminated part is inside. <br />• Remove mask by handling only the ties of the mask and discard. Never <br />allow the mask to hang around the neck. <br />12.09 - 15 - <br />
