0 <br />Field Operations Policy and Procedures <br />a. Date and time checked out <br />b. Name of Company representative checking out the decedents <br />c. Purpose for check out from refrigeration unit <br />5. To check decedents back into the same refrigeration unit, use the previous entry on the <br />Refrigeration Log (FIN-CS085), line number 2 for the check-in. <br />Note: If a decedent is checked into the refrigeration unit more than two times, create a <br />new entry on the Refrigeration Log (FIN-CS085). <br />Note: Personal care centers (PCCs) using Carepoint do not need to maintain a separate <br />Refrigeration Log (FIN-CS085) during regular business hours; only during after -business hours <br />if they do not operate a 24-hour operation. Decedents checked into the refrigeration unit during <br />regular business hours must be recorded and maintained through Carepoint while decedents <br />checked in after business hours must be recorded via the manual Refrigeration Log (FIN-CS085) <br />with their information updated in Carepoint immediately the following business day. All other <br />provisions of this policy and procedure apply. <br />10.7 Refrigeration Unit Overflow <br />Policy. Every location that has a refrigeration unit must identify and document additional <br />locations to accommodate overflow. If an overflow condition occurs, one of the additional <br />locations must be contacted to accommodate the overflow. <br />Procedure. <br />1. Complete a Refrigeration Overflow Plan (FIN-CS098) and post it on the primary <br />refrigeration unit. <br />a. The PCC Manager, Crematory Manager or Location Manager reviews the <br />Refrigeration Overflow Plan (FIN-CS098) for completeness every six months. <br />2. When there is no availability for decedents in the location's refrigeration unit(s): <br />a. Identify the nearest alternate refrigeration location for storage per the list on the <br />posted Refrigeration Overflow Plan (FIN-CS098). <br />b. If the nearest alternate refrigeration location does not have room for the decedent, <br />proceed down the list of alternate refrigeration locations in the order shown until one <br />is found that does have space available. <br />c.
