KLEINFELDER
Post Phase:
After asbestos in runoff and channel surface water has been controlled to meet the water
quality goal, surface water monitoring at the four surface water monitoring points (SW -1
through SW -4) will occur for a period of five years. One round of samples will be collected
each year. The samples will be collected during the first significant storm event of the wet
season. If after 5 years it appears that asbestos in surface water has been controlled, 7-M Mfg.
will request that the requirement for surface water monitoring be dropped.
6.5.2 Ground Water
"` Two rounds of ground water samples were collected as part of the SWAT investigation. This
monitoring indicated that there were little if any ground water impacts. Kleinfelder proposes
that after the WMUs are capped, the SWAT sampling be repeated (two rounds of sampling
over one year, analysis for VOCs, metals and general minerals). If these results are consistent
with the SWAT sampling results, the four monitoring wells would be destroyed and ground
water sampling would cease.
6.6 CLOSURE SCHEDULE
"' Table 6-2 shows the closure schedule for the activities described in this report. Note that
0
L
D
implementation of the different phases of the drainage plan must occur over a span of years
because the decision of whether to implement a phase is dependent on an assessment of the
performance of the preceeding phase.
CR14-92-12 Page 37 of 39 24-220109-1709
Copyright 1992 Kleinfelder, Inc.
LJ
