0
u
KLEINFELDER
After closure, J -M Mfg. will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of containment and
drainage structures. This responsibility continues throughout the postclosure maintenance
period which is commonly set at 30 years.
7.1 INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE
On an annual basis, a registered civil engineer or engineering geologist will inspect the project
site. The inspection will consist of the following tasks:
Task 1 - Condition of WMU Caps - Check for erosion damage or lack of vegetation that
could lead to erosion damage. Look for settlement that could result in ponding.
Task 2 - Drainage Control Facilities - Inspect drainage facilities for damage or
obstruction.
Task 3 - Environmental Monitoring - Inspect each environmental monitoring point for
damage.
Damage noted during the inspection will be relayed to J -M Mfg. in the form of a report. J -M
Mfg. will then act on the report to repair damage. For instance, if settlement has caused
ponding, the settled area will be backfilled with soil and reseeded.
PARTIES7.2 RESPONSIBLE
In the event of an uncontrolled release of asbestos or should catastrophic damage occur to one
of the containment structures, the following individuals will be immediately informed of the
situation:
1.
