Sperry Rd. , Stockton, CA <br /> On 10-9-87 a field investigation was conducted by the San Joaquin Local <br /> Health District staff (Alan Biedermann, R.S. ) and representatives of J-M <br /> Manufacturing Co. (Dr. Edward Wang & Daryl Wilkerson) . The following <br /> is a report of findings resulting from this investigation: <br /> 1 . Exposed asbestos waste was evident in several areas west of the main <br /> plant north of Sperry Rd. <br /> 2. Asbestos sludge material was evident in ponds located north of the main <br /> plant . <br /> The above listed asbestos waste materials shall be tested to determine <br /> the presence of free asbestos fibers. Test results shall be conducted by <br /> an independent laboratory and submitted to the San Joaquin Local Health <br /> District- for review. -All asbestos waste containing free asbestos fiber <br /> shall be disposed of according to local and state regulations. All exposed <br /> waste shall be covered according to sections 17682 Cover, 17684 Intermediate <br /> Cover, and 17685 Final Cover of California Administrative Code Title 14 . <br /> The entire disposal site shall implement dust control measures, be adequately <br /> secured and posted at all times.
