In addition to the requirements presented in the enclosed
memo, it appears that your firm may also be subject to Federal requirements for
inactive asbestos fabricating operations. These requirements are presented in.
40 CFR Section 61.153. Federal requirements in conjunction with California's
Proposition 65 appear to necessitate the identification and disposal of any
asbestos containing material on-site.
These comments reflect the Regional Board requirements and do not relieve your
firm from addressing any additional 'requirement of EPA, Department of Health
Services or the California Air Resources Board.
Should you have any questions regarding the enclosed document, please call Antonia
Vorster at (916) 361-5600.
RICHARD G.
