Lasser. <br /> Regional Manages <br /> WASTE '19TS <br /> FOR <br /> JOHNS-MANVILLE PRODUCTS CORPORATION OF CALIFORNIA <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> The California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley <br /> Region, (hereafter Board) , finds that: <br /> 1. Johns-Manville Products Corporation of California submitted a- re <br /> port of waste discharge NPDES No. CA0004464. <br /> 2. Johns-Manville Products Corporation of California discharges an <br /> average of 0.15 mgd of waste process cooling water from two sepa- <br /> rate discharge Sites into North Littlejohn Creek which is a tr .blx- <br /> tart' of French Camp Slough and the San Joaquin River; waters of <br /> the United States, at a point in the SE4 of Section 25, T1N, R6E, <br /> MDB&M (projected) . <br /> 3. The Board on 15 June 1971 adopted an Interim Water Quality Control <br /> Plan for the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Basin. The Interim Basin <br /> Plan contains water quality objectives for the San Joaquin River. <br /> 4. Johns-Manville Products Corporation currently discharges 12,000 <br /> gallons per day of domestic waste into a municipal sewage system. <br /> 5. The beneficial uses of French Camp Slough and the San Joaquin <br /> River are: municipal , industrial , and agricultural supply; recre- <br /> ation; esthetic enjoyment; navigation; and preservation and en- <br /> hancement of fish, wildlife, and other aquatic resources. <br /> 6. Effluent limitation, and toxic and pretreatment effluent standards <br /> established pursuant to Sections 301 , 302, 304, and 307 of the <br /> Federal Water Pollution Control Act and amendments thereto are <br /> applicable to the discharge. <br /> 7. The discharge from Johns-Manville Products Corporation of Califor- <br /> nia is -presently governed by waste discharge requirements Reso- <br /> lution No. 56-28 adopted by the Board on 30 August 1956. <br /> 8. The Board has notified the discharger and interested agencies and <br /> persons of its intent to prescribe waste discharge requirements for <br /> this discharge and has provided them with an opportunity for a <br /> public hearing and an opportunity to submit their written views <br /> and recommendations. <br /> 9. The Board in a public meeting heard and considered all comments <br /> pertaining to the discharge. <br />
