for Gasoline & Diesel , (TPI-[, ) & BTEX. The results of that work,
(refer to Exhibit L, ) shows that a maximum of 100 mg/kg gasoline
& 1000 mg/kg diesel are allowable at this location. Those levels
are significantly higher than measured in the samples taken on
12-18-1992.
The remediated spoil will remain on the property and will be
thoroughly mixed to insure that any minor amounts of TPH-D will
be lowered to levels below those measured during the final
sampling. The remediated soil will be mixed with the concrete
rubble stored on site and made into road base for use on the
property.
The existing excavation will be filled with clean soil and
properly compacted according to City & County requirements.
CONCLUSIONS:
1. Groundwater has not been impacted at this site, and all wells
& borings have been destroyed under County EHD supervision.
2. All contaminated soil has been removed from the site of the
former concrete bunker, and further excavation is not needed.
3. The removed spoil has been successfully remediated to levels i
far below those allowed to be left in place per LUFT analysis.
4. Use of the remediated soil for roadbase on the property is an
acceptable °r recommended use for the material.
RECOMMENDATION:
Based upon the results of the work done on the property as
detailed in this report, it is the opinion of Wm. J. Hunter P
Associates that the removed soil has been satisfactorily
remediated, and we recommend that the property be certified
clean, and a propriate closure documents be issued.
U*.
