kn KLEIN FELDER <br /> 3 ASSUMPTIONS AND LIMITATIONS <br /> 3.1 ASSUMPTIONS <br /> 1. The field activities can be conducted in one day. <br /> 2. No hazardous materials will be encountered in the debris. If hazardous materials (e.g., <br /> burned drums) are encountered, or organic vapor readings of more than 1 ppmv are <br /> found,the work plan and sampling plan will be reassessed. <br /> 3. Adequate work space and access will be provided. Kleinfelder will attempt to trench at <br /> the proposed locations. The trenches will be ,excavated with an excavator. If the <br /> trenching equipment cannot be positioned, alternative sample will be selected by the <br /> Kleinfelder project manager. <br /> 4. In the event potentially hazardous materials are identified visually or by other methods <br /> within the exploratory trenches, the trenching operation will be immediately terminated <br /> and a new course of action will be developed and proposed to the regulatory agencies. <br /> 3.2 LIMITATIONS <br /> All information gathered during the study by Kleinfelder is considered confidential and will be <br /> released only upon written authorization by the client or as required by law. California law <br /> requires a person to inform the state if a situation is encountered that can be considered an <br /> immediate endangerment to the public's health or welfare and/or to the environment. <br /> The scope of services described here is not intended to be inclusive, to identify all potential <br /> concerns, or to eliminate the possibility of environmental problems.
