Crandell, P.E. <br /> Kleinfelder, Inc. <br /> 3077 Fite Circle <br /> Sacramento, CA 95827 <br /> Re: Martin Metal Finishing Workplan <br /> Environmental Health Division (EHD) received Kleinfelder's <br /> Landfill Assessment Workplan for Martin Metal Finishing, 3200 S. <br /> El Dorado, Stockton, CA, on June 11, 1996. This plan explains <br /> initial site assessment at Martin Metal to determine the nature <br /> and extent of contamination/wastes due to the sites prior land <br /> use as a landfill. EHD has reviewed this plan and found it <br /> adequate at this time with the following conditions: <br /> (1) Notify EHD 24 hours prior to initiating exploratory digging <br /> at site. Any hazardous wastes encountered must be reported to <br /> EHD immediately. <br /> (2) Submit all findings to EHD for review. <br /> Upon review of findings a Closure and Post Closure Maintenance <br /> Plan will be necessary in order for EHD to approve future changes <br /> of land use at this site. <br /> Contact Carol Oz, REHS, at (209) 468-3440 if you have further <br /> questions. <br /> Ernest M.
