There are <br /> other alarms commonly found in residences (i.e. smoke, carbon dioxide, timers, <br /> alarm clocks, etc.). <br /> • Exit the residence in a calm and orderly manner; if there are other people in the <br /> residence, inform them to leave also. <br /> • Call the local fire department (911). <br /> 5.0 MAINTENANCE OF THE SYSTEM <br /> The methane sensors requires calibration. The sensors located within the house require <br /> calibration based on the manufacturer's recommendations; every 3 months for the 2001 <br /> models. In addition to the calibration, notes shall be kept on when the alarms activate, <br /> if it was a false alarm, and any issues that occurred with the system. Additional notes <br /> will be necessary if work is done to the residence (i.e. additions, water leaks, pipe leaks, <br /> alterations, etc.).
