Ms.Natalia Subbotnikova of SJCEHD was present during the mandatory
portion of these activities.
The large soil stockpile was loaded onto 64 trucks and transported under Uniform Hazardous Waste
Manifests to Kettleman Hills Facility, a Class I facility, in Kettleman City,California. Copies of the
Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifests are provided in Attachment 2.The small soil stockpile and the tank
soil stockpile were loaded onto 15 trucks and transported to Vasco Road Landfill,a Class 11 facility, in
Livermore, California. The concrete debris stockpile was loaded onto five trucks and transported to a
concrete recycling facility(either F.T.G. Construction Materials,Inc., in Lodi,California,or A Plus
Materials Recycling, Inc., in Stockton, California).
The wood debris consisted of three sections of large timbers, approximately 3 feet in diameter(one
approximately 20 feet in length, one approximately 17 feet in length and the other approximately 7 feet
in length),covered in steel sheeting. The steel sheeting was removed from the large timbers prior to
loading the timbers onto trucks. In addition,Ms. Subbotnikova requested that the existing vegetation
along the western boundary of the site be removed. The wood debris and the vegetation were loaded onto
two trucks and transported to Vasco Road Landfill in Livermore,California. The steel sheeting was
loaded onto one truck and transported to Sims Hugo NEU in Stockton,California.Padilla's Tire
Recycling Service of Linden, California, one of the three tire recycling facilities recommended by Ms.
Subbotnikova, removed and transported 20 tires to their facility on September 28,2007.
RESULTS
Soil Vapor. The methane concentrations measured during the quarter in the gas-migration monitoring
probes for VW-2, VW-3,VW-4,VW-7S,VW-7D,VW-8S,VW-8D, VW-9,and VW-10 were less than
or equal to 0.1 percent. The methane concentration for the remaining vapor probes ranged from 0 to
0.2%in VW-1, 0.4%to 1.4% in VW-5S, 1.0%to 2.9%in VW-5D, 3.8%to 4.2%in VW-6S,and 0.9%
to 1.8%in VW-6D.
The methane concentration in the vapor extraction wells ranged from 1.6%to 5.7%in EW-1 and 8.4%to
11.8%in EW-2.The methane concentrations in the passive vents ranged from 0.2%to 8.3%in VP-1,
3.9%to 9.6%in VP-2,0.2%to 9.6%in VP-3, and 3.7%to 10.1%in VP-4. The oxygen concentration
measured at all sample locations during the quarter ranged from 0%to 22.2%.The carbon dioxide
concentration at all sample locations measured during the quarter ranged from 0.1%to 26.7%.The
results for each probe, each extraction well, and each passive vent are summarized in Table 1.
K:\Wprocess\25532\WorldEnterprise\Quarterly Rpt\2007\3Q07\103107.doc
