June 26,2001 Robert McClellon an employee of the EHD was onsite for follow up inspection. The inspection revealed that some of the waste was removed.The pile located closest to the runway(east)was removed. The pile with the wood waste was still onsite. Don Bowman asked if he could spread the pile out and pick the wood waste out of the soil.He indicated that June 27,2001 his employees would spread out the soil and then pick the wood waste out and have the wood taken for disposal. I informed him that I would need to verify that the wood was separated.He agreed.I asked if he had receipts for the waste that he had removed from the site.He stated that he did and would provide copies. I asked him for the location that the waste was taken to. June 27,2001 Robert McClellon an employee of the EHD was on site to view progress. Mecca Equipment employees just arrived onsite.No change in status. June 28,2001 Robert McClellon an employee of the EHD was onsite for follow up inspection. The pile was spread out and then run over by the equipment several times. The wood pieces were getting smaller and harder to separate.The pile was 80%wood waste. This activity is a sham. The wood waste and soil needs to be disposed of.Phoned Don Bowman and left message that he would need to have the waste removed for disposal. July 2,2000 Robert McClellon an employee of the EHD phoned Don Bowman to discuss the status of the waste located at the airport.He stated that they were out at the waste pile pick the wood out of the soil all weekend.He stated that they were not done and asked if he could have a little more time to complete the removal of the wood waste. I agreed to make a re-inspection at a later date.He stated he would complete the task and call for re-inspection. August 8,2001 Robert McClellon an employee of the EHD conducted a re-inspection this date.The re-inspection revealed that there was no change in the site status. The wood waste was still co-mingled with the soil. A letter was sent to Mecca Equipment Corp. directing them to have the wood waste and soil removed to an approved solid waste disposal site(exhibit E).Photos were taken during the inspection(exhibit F).
