Airport Way Suite 205 <br /> Stockton, CA 95206 <br /> RE: Scrap metal buried at Stockton Metropolitan Airport <br /> This letter is to document a re-inspection conducted on August 7, 2001. The following <br /> was noted. The pile of soil that was contaminated with wood waste still remains onsite. <br /> The pile was spread out and the wood waste was driven over with equipment until the <br /> wood was reduced in size. <br /> The wood waste was not removed and now cannot be sorted from the soil. The soil and <br /> wood waste must be removed from the site. The waste must be taken to an approved <br /> solid waste disposal site. <br /> You are here by directed to have the soil and wood waste removed within 10 days of <br /> receipt of this letter. Failure to properly resolve this issue will result in further legal <br /> action by this Department. Re-inspections are chargeable inspections. Re-inspections <br /> are charged at an $87.00/hour rate.
