The report will discuss the data and their
implications. It will be prepared and signed by the Professional Geologist responsible for
the work. Copies of the final report will be distributed the CalRecycle and the San
Joaquin County Environmental Health Department.
4.0 HEALTH AND SAFETY
The area of the landfill is fenced and not accessible to the public. As described above, no
solid waste will be generated. The only landfill material that will be removed will be
contained within sealed sample containers. By using the dual-tube soil boring system,
each boring will be open to the atmosphere for very short periods of time. It is not
expected that any boring will be open for a period approaching 1 hour. Any release of
methane or other vapor therefore will be very limited. The distance from the site to the
nearest occupies business and to the nearest residence is about 100 feet. The facts
combine to make the likelihood of any public health safety effect negligible.
The health and safety of onsite personnel is described in detail in the Appendix. As
described in the H&S plan, methane gas will be monitoring during the work and the
occurrence of methane or volatile vapor will be included in the final report.
2937 Veneman Ave.,#13240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc.
