(RDSI) . our recommendation is <br /> that the existing RDSI needs to be revised. Please revise the RDSI <br /> and incorporate the following: <br /> 1. Update the site classification from Class 11-2 to Class III. <br /> 2 . Describe the potable water supply system used for the landfill <br /> employees. <br /> 3. The load checking program should included the maximum storage <br /> time prior to removal and the isolation/storage location of <br /> hazardous waste and generation ID#. <br /> 4. The RDSI states that sludge and infectious waste will be <br /> accepted at the landfill and the permit does not. Please <br /> correct the RDSI. <br /> 5. Describe the security measures at the landfill. <br /> 6. Document the estimated traffic volume and types of vehicles <br /> using the site. Use the "Expanded Initial Study" - <br /> Environmental Impacts, 3 .6 Traffic. <br /> 7. Include the map Emcon-Austin Rd landfill, page 16 of the <br /> "Expanded Initial Study", in the RDSI. <br /> 8 . The Site Topography section of the RDSI refers to Drawing 1 <br /> and 2 . Please submit a copy of each. <br /> 9. The amended April, 1990 RDSI references the wrong Appendixes. <br /> 10. The RDSI should describe the gas recovery system design <br /> including the spacing, depths, intervals etc. and the intended <br /> function. Include a map of the gas system and indicate the <br /> direction of gas flow. <br /> 11. List and include a copy of all current permits such as WDR 90- <br /> 122 and Pacific Energy's WDR. <br /> 12 . The RDSI should be a "stand alone" document. All amendments <br /> and Appendixes should be together in one document. <br /> 13 . Specifications section should include the special handling <br /> procedures for dead animals (special waste) including disposal <br /> locations and expected days of receipt. <br /> 14 .
