Box 1747
Stockton, CA 95201
T` ALL HAT7LT''n_S USING 3TTST117 ROAD LANDFTT,T, CTM
At the present time, Austin Road Landfill site is open to all
licensed haulers between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Our records during the month of May and the first three weeks of
June 1990, indicate that most of the trucks stop coming in at
around 2:00 p.m. and the landfill has reached its allocated
tonnage at about this time.
It is not economically feasible for the City to pay the scale
operator two hours of overtime each day in order to keep the
landfill open at the above mentioned hours if there will not be
any trucks coming in after 2:30 p.m.
Effective, August 1, 1990, the new hours for Austin Road Landfill
will be from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Any hauler that would like
to request the landfill to stay open later than 3:00 p.m. due to
an emergency, will be required to make special arrangements with
the scale operator and will be required to pay the overtime
requested.
These new hours will be reviewed again when higher daily
allocations are granted by the State Integrated Waste Management
Board.
If you have any questions, please contact Stephen Chen, Deputy
Public Works Director/Streets at 944-8341.
JAMES B.
