1 superior court, in an attempt to determine the whereabouts of <br />2 defendant Irene M. Young, who claims a right-of-way interest on the <br />3 subject property by deed dated April 16, 1934, and defendants Arthur <br />4 E. Salmon, Ida M. Geiger Hailey, Frances C. Williams, and Elzora I. <br />5 Bunch, each claiming mineral rights pursuant to deeds recorded on <br />6 December 27, 1978, and March 22, 1979. <br />7 3. My review of the above -referenced records has yielded the <br />8 following information: <br />9 a. Re Irene M. Young. Irene M. Young obtained a right - <br />10 of -way interest over the subject property pursuant to deed dated <br />11 April 11, 1934 from her mother, Minnie A. Salmon. A review of vital <br />12 statistics records and civil records of the superior court indicate <br />13 that Irene M. Young may be Irene Mildred Young who died in San <br />14 Joaquin County on March 29, 1992. No probate was filed regarding <br />15 the estate of Irene Mildred Young and her affairs were overseen by <br />16 the Public Conservator for San Joaquin County. A true and correct <br />17 copy of the certificate of death for Irene Mildred Young is attached <br />18 hereto as Exhibit A and made a part hereof by this reference. <br />19 b. Re Arthur E. Salmon, Ida M. Geiger Hailey, Frances C. <br />20 Williams, and Elzora I. Bunch. These defendants are the children of <br />21 Carolyn Bernice Salmon, the widow of Adolph F. Salmon (believed to <br />22 be the son of Minnie A. Salmon). Carolyn Bernice Salmon died <br />23 intestate in San Joaquin County on July 25, 1972, and her estate was <br />24 probated and distributed pursuant to a decree of distribution <br />25 recorded on December 22, 1978, as instrument no. 78091666 in book <br />26 4490 at page 701 of the Official Records of San Joaquin County. A <br />27 review of the decree of distribution and subsequent deeds indicate <br />28 2 <br />
