The work outlined herein was performed by The Twining Laboratories, Inc. <br />(Twining) in accordance with the scope of work presented in Twining's proposal dated August <br />30, 1994 (Twining, 1994x). This work was performed under City of Stockton Purchase Order <br />065017 dated September 20, 1994. Field activities were conducted during February of 1995. <br />1.0 PURPOSE AND SCOPE <br />The purpose of this project was to measure methane gas concentrations in accordance with <br />Subtitle D of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). The City of Stockton also <br />requested that Twining measure methane gas concentrations in site structures owned by the city. <br />The following scope of work was conducted to achieve the stated purpose: <br />• Methane gas concentrations were measured using a Gastechtor model No. 1314; and <br />• This letter was prepared to document field activities and contains a site location map, and <br />site plan showing soil gas probe locations. <br />Twining installed 12 soil gas probes along the perimeter of the Austin Road Landfill in March <br />of 1994 (Twining 1994b). Initial soil gas concentrations were measured were taken following <br />installation, and the soil gas concentrations have been monitored on a quarterly basis since.
