Austin Road Landfill TL A68102.01 <br />April 18, 1995 Page 3 <br />3.0 FIELD PROCEDURES <br />Field activities are summarized in the following subsections. <br />3.1 Soil Gas Monitoring. Soil gas concentrations were measured using a Gastechtor Model No. <br />1314SMPN calibrated for methane. Each gas probe was purged for five minutes. After the five <br />minute purge time, oxygen and lower explosive limit (LEL) percentages were recorded. Methane <br />gas concentrations measured in site structures were recorded when the readings stabilized. <br />Methane gas monitoring results for the second quarter of 1995 are summarized in Table 2. <br />Notes: 100% LEL = 5% Methane <br />NA = Not analyzed due to inaccessibility <br />xA1LJ <br />_. ;.:;.
