CITY i1 STOCKTON <br />APPROVING .1 1 ADOPTING CEQA-RELATED FINDINGS, <br />STATEMENT OF OVERRIDING CONSI1 , • AND MITIGATION <br />PROJECTMONITORING PROGRAM FOR THE AUSTIN ROAD LANDFILL EXPANSION <br />Whereas, in April 1992, the City Council selected an Austin Road Landfill <br />Expansion Project design alternative; and <br />Whereas, in June 1993, the Austin Road Landfill Expansion Master Plan was <br />completed based on the Council -selected design alternative; and <br />Whereas, in June 1994, a Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) was <br />r completed assessing the environmental effects of the master plan, identifying appropriate <br />\ mitigation. measures, and evaluating alternatives to the master plan; and <br />Whereas, on September 6, 1994, the City Council adopted a resolution certifying <br />the Final EIR for the Austin Road Landfill Expansion Project; now, therefore, <br />1. That the City Council hereby identifies the significant effects, adopts the <br />mitigation measures, adopts the monitoring program to be implemented for each mitigation <br />measure, makes the findings, and declares the statement of overriding considerations as set forth <br />in the "Findings. Statement of Overriding Considerations, and Mitigation Monitoring Program <br />for the Citv of Stockton Austin Road Landfill Expansion Project" (which is on file in the City <br />Clerk's Office). The statements, findings, and determinations are based on the certified Final EIR <br />and on any other related information or substantial evidence in the record available to the City <br />Council and are made in compliance with Sections 15091 and 15093 of the State CEQA <br />Guidelines and Section 21081.6 of the California Public Resources Code. <br />CITY ATTY REVIE4P ( , P <br />DATE S E P 0 6 1994 <br />
