Explosive Gas Control. r <br /> The City-California Integrated Waste Mana and (CIWMB) stipulated compliance . <br /> agreement dated January 5, 1998 requires he City to submit a schedule for expanding <br /> ARL's existing landfill gas (LFG) recovery system if methane concentrations in Soil Gas <br /> Probe (SGP)-13 and SGP-14 exceed the 5% lower explosive limit (LEL) for Iretharie. <br /> CIWMB staff confirmed methane concentrations above the LEL in SGP-13 and SGP-14 <br /> on March 26, 1998. Therefore, in\accordance with the stipulated compliance agreement, <br /> the City's proposed LFG control schedule is shown on ATTACHMENT 1. <br /> 2. Drainage and Erosion Control. <br /> In your March 31-letter and March 26 inspection report you noted that uncontrolled storm <br /> water running off ARL's unvegetated side slopes had caused waste to be exposed in <br /> several areas along the landfill's southern face.
