IJtBB'iDC Pg. b
In the meantime when greenwaste cover is insufficient, soil cover
will be used as specified in the approved GWADCP plan.
One of the requirements in the GWADCP plan is for the landfills
to be completely covered with soil every 21 days (green waste ADC
and all) . Operator exceeded this date at ARL but complied
immediately when directed to cover with soil by the inspector.
The operator was referred to the Winter Plan and GWADCP plan for
approved procedures.
Adjustments have been made regarding traffic flowandoperations
at FCL to increase site safety. The grinding area was
reorganized to allow more room for traffic and a safer location
for headquarters. Grinding area congestion has been minimized.
SUMMARY & MONITORING STATUS:
Overall the project appears to be working successfully. Except
for the shortage problem mentioned above the shredded green
waste appears to make a good daily cover. The problems occurring
with the project are minimal and are being addressed within a
reasonable time frame.
Since vectors have not been a problem weekly fly grill surveys
will be discontinued. Should vectors be observed during monthly
or weekly inspections fly grill studies will be continued.
Project monitoring will continue weekly. All inspection reports
are included with this report for your review.
Contact Carol Oz, Senior R.E.H.S. if you have questions.
Ernest M.
