Recognize and Evaluate the Emergency <br /> a. Observing someone who is unfamiliar in a place were they should not be is usually the <br /> first indication of robbery or vandalism. Notifying the police as soon as possible is the <br /> safest and most effective way of dealing with these situations. <br /> 2. Take Safety Precautions <br /> a. Landfill personnel should not attempt to confront individuals committing robbery or <br /> vandalism. <br /> 3. Provide Information <br /> a. Call 911 and ask for the police, as soon as possible. <br /> b. Explain the circumstances and wait for instruction. <br /> c. Note as much detail as possible, descriptive features of the people involved and their <br /> vehicle if they have one. <br /> d.
