Equipment Preventive
14 CCR 17695
Operator keeps a maintenance log on equipment. Equipment
Maintenance
is maintained (oil, coolant, air filters, etc.) based on
manufacturer's recommended schedule.
V.D. MATERIALS HANDLING ACTIVITIES
V.D.1. Construction Sequencing
Detailed construction sequencing plans for each phase of the
Appendix B,
landfill expansion is considered beyond the scope of the
CEP Dwg. P2,
conceptual expansion design. Generally for Phases I through
CEP Dwg. P3
IV, the horizontal expansion phases, the phases will be
excavated during the landfill operation to provide daily and
intermediate cover material (See CEP Dwg. P3). An excess
material stockpile is shown over the existing landfill (LF 1)
area on CEP Dwg. P2. The vertical expansion, Phases V
through VI, will not require stockpiling of material for
development.
The liner grading, waste filling and final grading sequence by
expansion phase is shown on CEP Drawings P3 and P4.
V.D.2. Unloading
14 CCR 17676
Unloading operation procedures will be similar to existing
Appendix H, DEIR
procedures. "L" shaped dumping arrangement will be used to
Pages 11.24 to 11.27
minimize blown litter.
V.D.3.. Spreading and
14 CCR 17677
Unloading operation procedures will be similar to existing
Appendix H, DER
Compacting
14 CCR 17678
procedures. Dedicated landfill compactor (CAT 826 C) are
Page 11.24 to 11.27
currently being used to spread and compact waste and will
continue to be used in the landfill expansion. Maximum depth
of uncompacted waste will be approximately 2 feet. Operation
slopes on proposed landfill will be generally less than 10%
grade.
