maximum compaction. <br /> The top of refuse and daily cover in daily cells of interim lifts <br /> shall be compacted to within one foot of the design grades. The <br /> top of refuse and daily cover in final lifts shall be compacted to <br /> within 0.3 feet of final design grades. <br /> Verification of these tolerances shall be performed by the Operator <br /> through survey (according to survey procedures in 5. 2) of completed <br /> interim lifts which may be used to control grade for the next <br /> proposed lift, and within 60 days of placement of daily cover for <br /> final lifts. <br /> The CDPW reserves the right to require that compacted waste not <br /> within above tolerances is recompacted and regraded to specified <br /> grades. <br /> 5.3 Fill Grade Control <br /> This Section includes the methods for obtaining the required <br /> accuracy of fill grades for interim and final lifts of waste cells <br /> in the Landfill. <br /> 5.3.1 Placement of Fill Grade Stakes <br /> The County will supply bench marks with information on horizontal <br /> and vertical control. The bench mark information will include the <br /> horizontal grid coordinates and the elevation (U. S.G.S. datum) to <br /> the nearest hundredth foot. The Operator shall use these bench <br /> marks for all fill grade control. <br /> The grade staking for fill placement shall be performed by the <br /> Operator and shall conform to the following: <br /> ♦ Grade stakes, at a minimum, shall be placed at 200-foot <br /> centers along grid coordinates for interim lifts of waste; and <br /> 18 <br />
