C. Work of This Contract <br /> 1. Except as otherwise specifically stated in applicable parts of these Contract <br /> Documents, the CONTRACTOR shall provide and pay for labor, materials, <br /> equipment, tools, construction equipment, facilities, and services necessary <br /> for proper execution, testing, and completion of the Work. <br /> 2. The completed Work will provide OWNER with a landfill liner, leachate <br /> collection and removal system, and protective operations layer which was <br /> constructed in accordance with the requirements of California Code of <br /> Regulations Title 27 and site specific permits. <br /> D. Major Work Elements Include: <br /> 1. Excavation <br /> 2. General Earthfill <br /> 3. Grading and Subgrade Preparation <br /> 4. Clay Liner <br /> 5. GCL <br /> 6. HDPE Geomembrane <br /> 7. Cushion Geotextile <br /> 8. Granular Drainage Material <br /> 9. Geocomposite Drainage Net <br /> 10. Filter Geotextile <br /> 11. Geogrid <br /> 12. Protective Operations Layer <br /> 13. Coarse Gravel <br /> 14. Leachate Collection Pipes and Riser <br /> 1.4 OWNER FURNISHED PRODUCTS <br /> A. The OWNER shall retain and pay for the services of a surveyor for as-built <br /> surveys. <br /> B. The OWNER shall retain and pay for the services of the QA/QC CONSULTANT. <br /> C. The OWNER shall furnish the onsite soils for clay liner, general earthfill, and <br /> protective operations layer. <br /> 1.5 MEETINGS AND COORDINATION <br /> A. Preconstruction meetings will be conducted between the OWNER, DESIGN <br /> ENGINEER and/or QA/QC CONSULTANT, EARTHWORK CONTRACTOR, <br /> and GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR. Specification requirements for that <br /> particular sequence of construction will be reviewed and discussed. The <br /> EARTHWORK and GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR shall present a <br /> construction plan for each construction sequence, as applicable, outlining the <br /> equipment, personnel, schedule and materials required. <br /> B. The EARTHWORK and GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR (when onsite) will <br /> be required to attend and participate in weekly construction meetings to review <br /> the schedule, specification requirements, quality control requirements, and other <br /> concerns involved. <br /> Forward Landfill WMU FU-04 <br /> 01100 2 SUMMARY <br />
