In <br />addition, if there are offensive odors from a load of waste, it is covered immediately with soil to <br />avoid attracting flies. Incoming loads are required to be tarped; thereby reducing potential for <br />litter on roads leading to the site. <br />6-.6-.7.6. Drainage and Erosion Control <br />Best management practices are implemented at the landfill. Foothill Utilizes „eFal sontrels to <br />manage Fun on and A perimeter berm around the waste management unit prevents <br />run-on to the unit. This perimeter berm, along with a series of ditches, also controls all surface <br />run-off during storm events, and directs surface run-off from the landfill to a retention basin on <br />the east side of the site. SuFfaGe wateF dFainage is shown on Plate 2.2. <br />During the year, the County --landfill operator repairs and regrades (if needed) the storm water <br />conveyance structures.
