Signs direct traffic through the <br />scales to the active area (Figure XX14). <br />The unloading area is at the active face of the landfill. Transfer vehicles packer trucks and <br />public vehicles are directed by a traffic director at the unloading area The transfer and packer <br />trucks discharge their contents using hydraulic rams and traveling beds. The public vehicles <br />are directed to the designated unloading area at the active face.
