2 GENERAL <br /> 2.1 . Facility Name <br /> The name of the facility is "Foothill Sanitary Landfill". <br /> 2.2. Site Owner and Operator <br /> The Foothill Sanitary Landfill is owned by San Joaquin County and operated by Foothill Landfill, <br /> Inc. since 1993 under an agreement with San Joaquin County. Prior to that time, the site was <br /> owned and operated by Nomellini Construction. <br /> 2.3. Site Location <br /> The Foothill Sanitary Landfill is located at 6484 North Waverly Road 17 miles east of Stockton, <br /> California (Figure 1). The site contains 800 acres, comprised of Assessor's Parcel Numbers <br /> ® 093-440-02 in Sections 12 and 13, T2N, R9E, MDB&M. The entrance to the site is from <br /> Waverly Road on the west side of the landfill property (Figure 2). <br /> 2.4. Surrounding Land Use <br /> Foothill Sanitary Landfill surrounded by areas classified as native vegetation. These areas are <br /> typically used for cattle grazing (Figure 3). Zoning for the lands surrounding the landfill is <br /> AG-160 (agricultural). A few residences have been constructed within two miles of the landfill <br /> property (Figure 4). <br /> 2.5.
