• <br />1-1 <br />6.1. Operating Criteria <br />6.1.1 Hours of Operation <br />For the purposes of this document, the term "Hours of Operation" is as defined in <br />Title 27 Section 20164: "Operation" of the landfill occurs "from the first receipt of <br />waste until the final receipt of waste consistent with the normal pattern of operation <br />in the solid waste facility permit." <br />Hours of operation (receipt of refuse) may start no earlier than 7:00 a.m., and may <br />continue no later than 5:00 p.m. Hours of operation may be shortened within that <br />time based on refuse inflow and the needs of the site. Such adjustments in hours of <br />receipt of refuse will be in coordination with the County Environmental Health <br />Department. <br />The landfill is operated daily with the exception of posted holidays. At this time, <br />posted holidays include New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving, and <br />Christmas Day. Additional closed days may be posted based on refuse inflow and <br />other considerations. <br />Use of equipment and work activities related to maintenance of the landfill, such as <br />placement of soil, daily cell preparation, and construction projects, may occur at <br />other times. <br />The site administration and other supporting activities by the County is from 8:00 am <br />to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday of each week, except County holidays. <br />Foothill Sanitary Landfill <br />Joint Technical Document <br />Page 26 of 57 Public Works/Solid Waste <br />County of San Joaquin — Revised 7/30/10 <br />
