3.02 SURFACE COMPLETION <br /> A. Contractor shall clean well enclosure housing with high-pressure hot water/steam <br /> prior to installation to ensure that it is free of contamination. <br /> B. Contractor shall install well enclosure plumb. <br /> C. Contractor shall cut the well casing pipe to minimum required height. The well <br /> enclosure lid shall open and close smoothly providing space for pump discharge <br /> tubing and pump lead wires. <br /> D. Contractor shall remove the PVC end caps from the top of the casing and then <br /> install well plugs. <br /> E. Contractor shall place coarse sand in the annular space between the enclosure <br /> and the well casings. The sand shall be placed six inches below the top of the <br /> well casings. <br /> F. Contractor shall clean cement grout from the well casing and enclosure prior to <br /> painting. <br /> G. Contractor shall apply the final coat of paint on the enclosure and then shall label <br /> the enclosure with the well No provided by the Engineer after installation . <br /> H. Contractor shall install bollards plumb. <br /> 3.03 WELL DEVELOPMENT <br /> A. Contractor shall inspect the interior of the casing with down-hole video camera to <br /> verify that the casing has not collapsed and that grout has not intruded into the <br /> well. <br /> B. Prior to development, the Contractor shall allow a minimum 48 hours for the neat <br /> cement to set. <br /> C. Contractor shall develop groundwater wells within 7 days of completion of that <br /> well. <br /> D. Well development shall be in the presence of the Engineer. <br /> E. Contractor shall not damage the well casing during well development. <br /> F.
