M. Hu and <br />Weather: Clear Wind: 0-10 mph. <br />Tem erature: A2prox. range 70- 95 F Other: <br />The contractor worked from 5:30 am to 5:30 pm. <br />Excavation: (1) CAT D6 dozer finish graded Basin 2. (1) 4k gallon water truck was used to maintain excavations, haul roads <br />and fill areas. <br />Slope Subgrade Preparation: No activity observed. <br />Access Road: No activity. <br />Foundation Layer: (1) water -truck moisture conditioned and 14 H motorgrader brushed over the foundation layer. (1) CAT <br />54B smooth drum roller compacted and smoothed the finish surface on the floor. Up to 4 laborers assisted in addressing <br />irregularities in the floor finish surface. <br />Sump /Lysimeter Construction: (1) Hitachi 300 excavator placed foundation material in lifts in the lysimeter excavation, <br />the material was compacted by using a large vibratory plate, the slot for the lysimeter burrito was then excavated by hand. <br />The HDPE welds have been spark tested. A small 1" cut was made in the liner floor which will be repaired in the morning. <br />Soil Gas Collection Pipe: The pipe backfill zone for the floor foundation layer has been finished and tests indicated <br />compliance with the specifications. <br />North West Stockpile: No activity was observed. <br />South Stockpile 2 (Operations): No activity was observed. <br />South Stockpile 3: No activity was observed. <br />Geosynthetic Liner: Geosynthetics detailing and deployment continued on the floor in the NW corner. QA activities <br />included monitoring of placement, trial welds, seaming and collection of destructive seam samples. A cumulative <br />quantity of approximately 207,000 SF of GCL and geomembrane has been deployed. <br />Relocate 12"Gas Main T&M: The contractor used the CAT 320 excavator and up to 2 laborers to continue with the gas main <br />relocation from 7 am to 3:30 pm. Backfill began and one compaction test indicated compliance with the specifications. <br />Whackers and the large vibratory plate were used for compaction effort. There is a small amount of fill left for completion. (1) <br />Water truck supplied moisture conditioning. <br />Equipment Onsite: (1) CAT D8T dozer, (1) CAT D6T LGP dozer, (1) CAT D6R dozer (with slope board) (1) CAT 621G water <br />pull, (2) CAT 627 scrapers, (1) 14H motorgrader, (1) CAT 825H compactor, (1) water truck, (1) Hitachi 300 excavator, (1) <br />CAT CS 54B smooth drum roller (vibratory type), (1) CAT TH160B folk lift,, (1) CAT 430D backhoe.
