C <br />2 <br />DAILY FIELD REPORT Pate 1 of 1 <br />Project Name: Foothill Sanitary Landfill - Area 2A Report Number: Oso <br />Project Number: 14-101-01 Date: Monday 07/20/1S <br />Owner: Dept. of Public Works, San Joaquin County CQA Monitors: Jude A <br />Contractor: R J Gordon Construction, Inc. M. Hu and <br />Weather: Clear Wind: 0-10 mph. <br />Tem erature: Approx. range 70- 97 F Other: <br />The contractor worked from 5:30 am to 5:30 pm. <br />Excavation: (1) CAT D6 dozer finish graded Basin 2. (1) 4k gallon water truck was used to maintain excavations, haul roads <br />and fill areas. <br />Slope Subgrade Preparation: Up to (6) laborers using hand tools continued to prepare the east slope. <br />Access Road: No activity. <br />Foundation Layer: Up to (6) laborers using hand tools continued to prepare the cell floor. (1) water -truck and 14 H <br />motorgrader brushed over the foundation layer and (1) CAT 54B smooth drum roller put finish surface on the floor in <br />advance of geosynthetics placement on the floor. <br />Sump /Lysimeter Construction: No activity observed. <br />Soil Gas Collection Pipe: Backfill of the pipe continued. A large vibratory plate was used for compacting the soil. The activity <br />is not yet finished. <br />North West Stockpile: No activity was observed. <br />South Stockpile 2 (Operations): No activity was observed. <br />South Stockpile 3: No activity was observed. <br />Geosynthetic Liner: Geosynthetics detailing continued on the north slope today, and deployment began on the floor in the <br />NW corner. QA activities included monitoring of placement, trial welds, seaming and collection of destructive seam <br />samples. A cumulative quantity of approximately 151,000 SF of GCL and geomembrane has been deployed. <br />Relocate 12"Gas Main T&M: The flare station was shut down today, so that the gas system piping could be relocated. (2) <br />laborers and (1) operator using (1) Hitachi 300 excavator and (1) CAT 320 excavator used interchangeably throughout the <br />day along with (2) HDPE welding machines made the pipe modifications and connections by the end of the shift. In this <br />operation, a portion of the gas main and associated piping were buried below grade as requested by the County. <br />Equipment Onsite: (1) CAT D8T dozer, (1) CAT D6T LGP dozer, (1) CAT D6R dozer (with slope board) (1) CAT 621G water <br />pull, (2) CAT 627 scrapers, (1) 14H motorgrader, (1) CAT 825H compactor, (1) water truck, (1) Hitachi 300 excavator, (1) <br />CAT CS 54B smooth drum roller (vibratory type), (1) CAT TH160B folk lift,, (1) CAT 430D backhoe.
