C DAILY FIELD REPORT Page 1 of 1 Project Name: Foothill Sanitary Landfill - Area 2A Report Number: 038 Project Number: 11-101-01 Date: Thursday 07/02/15 Owner: Dept. of Public Works, San Joaquin County CQA Monitors: T. Sathees Contractor: R J Gordon Construction, Inc. M. Hu and Weather: Clear Wind: 0-10 mph. Temperature: Approx. range 70-101 F Other: The contractor worked from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Excavation: Up to (1) CAT D8 and (1) CAT D6 dozers and (4) CAT 627 scrapers continued excavating Drainage Basin 2 at southeast of the project area, and hauled the material to the South Stockpile 3. (1) CAT 621 water pull was used to maintain excavations, haul roads and stockpile areas. Slope Subgrade Preparation: (1) Hitachi 300 excavator was used for finish grading the east slopes. Access Road: No activity was observed. Foundation Layer: The Contractor continued processing and fine grading the surface soil in order to achieve smooth and clod -free surface, which is required prior to liner installation. (1) CAT 14H motorgrader was used for spreading, mixing and fine grading the soil. (1) CAT 621 water pull was used to moisture -condition the Foundation soil. The Contractor continue hand-picking big clods and rocks that were found on the surface of the Foundation layer. Sump Construction: (1) Hitachi 300 excavator continued excavating the sump part time. North West Stockpile: No activity was observed. South Stockpile 1 (Foundation): No activity was observed. South Stockpile 2 (Operations): No activity was observed. South Stockpile 3: The scrapers hauled and stockpile the soil from the excavation at Drainage Basin 2 at southeast corner of the project area. Geosynthetics: (3) laborers from Great Basin onsite and continued filling sandbags with soil from operations layer stockpile. One truck load of 8 oz geotextile was unexpectedly delivered and temporarily stored in the equipment yard. The contractor began to prepare a more suitable storage area right away and began rectify the situation. (46) Rolls of 8 oz geotextile were delivered. Equipment Onsite: (1) CAT D8T dozer, (1) CAT D6T LGP dozer, (1) CAT D6R dozer (with slope board) (1) CAT 621G water pull, (4) CAT 627 scrapers, (1) 14H motorgrader, (1) CAT 825H compactor, (1) water truck, (1) Hitachi 300 excavator, (1) CAT CS 54B smooth drum roller (vibratory type), (1) CAT TH160B folk lift, (1) CAT side -boom winch smooth drum roller, (1) CAT 430D backhoe.
