This process reduces the cost of
transporting waste to more distant landfills.
The Lovelace Transfer Station is located on Lovelace Road, east of
Airport Way between Louise Avenue and Lathrop Road, about five
miles south of the City of Stockton. It is owned and operated by
the County of San Joaquin, and is staffed by Solid Waste Division
employees.
The site is open from 6: 00 a.m. to 5: 00 p.m. daily to refuse
collection companies and the Cities of Manteca and Ripon, and from
8 : 00 a.m. to 5: 00 p.m. daily to the general public.
TRANSFER TO STANISLAUS COUNTY WASTE-TO-ENERGY FACILITY
Some of the waste brought to the Lovelace Transfer Station was
taken to the Stanislaus County Waste-to-Energy facility.
