Landfill <br />Fire Protection Plan <br />Page 3 <br />Emergency water hookup for fire truck is located at NW comer of D93. <br />Water supply is from the main pump located at Landfill entrance. Ten inch PVC <br />pipe runs from main pump to 4 1/2° fire thread hookup. Main pump is a free flow <br />system, not a pressure system. Tum selector knob on the main pump to hand <br />position and push start button on to activate pump. <br />Knoxsbox next to outside landfill main gate, contains keys to main gate, landfill office, R & R <br />office, and fire box for Fire Department emergency use, per their request. <br />Regular maintenance and inspection will be conducted properly and on a regular basis according to <br />establish procedures. <br />The service person and or heavy equipment operators is responsible for maintaining equipment and <br />systems installed to prevent or control ignition of fires. <br />The heavy equipment operators are responsible for the control of accumulated flammable or <br />combustible waste and materials. <br />HOUSE KEEPING PROCEDURES: <br />All waste oil must be removed within 90 days from the start of accumulation. <br />All materials pulled during load check - the generator of the material is notified to pick up the <br />material within 48 hours. <br />Regular maintenance of landscape to prevent dry bush. <br />Procedure for employees who must remain to operate critical equipment before they can evacuate <br />the facility. Heavy equipment operators and laborers will report to the safe area in case of <br />evacuation. After and accounting of employ(head count), the Site Operations Manager or <br />Office Manager will determine if operation of critical equipment is needed. <br />N <br />
