I] <br />C <br />GeoSyntec Consultants <br />• Obtain samples and perform material conformance testing as required by the <br />Project Specifications. <br />• Observe the GDL as it is deployed and record all defects and disposition of the <br />defects. <br />• Monitor that the fabric portion of the panels are sewn together as required by <br />the Project Specifications. <br />• Observe that the GDL is temporarily secured with sand bags. <br />• Confirm that GDL repairs are performed in accordance with the Project <br />Specifications. <br />• Confirm that the GDL is placed with drainage axis parallel to slope gradient <br />and is properly anchored in anchorage trenches as required by the Project Plans <br />and Specifications. <br />• Inspect the GDL installation to ensure that flow from the layer is directed into <br />the surface water drainage system as shown on the Project Plans. <br />5.2.4 Post -Construction Inspection <br />Upon completion of construction, a post -construction inspection will be conducted <br />by the CQA Team to check for material and placement imperfections in the installed <br />materials and identify those areas that require corrective attention by the Contractor. <br />The post -construction inspection, or "final walk through", should include the CQA <br />Team, Owner, and the Contractor. <br />The CQA Team will inspect for the following: <br />• Low spots or depressions that would cause water to pond. <br />• Areas where surface water drainage is not directed as shown on the Project <br />Plans. <br />• Areas that are damaged or improperly compacted. <br />J:WLLIED\FORWARD\CLOSUREUtEPORT\CQA REPORT S -S 99.11.30 <br />9 <br />
