G. It should take less than a week to place the liner on the floor.
H. Vector will have a second monitor on-site Monday.
4. Coordination of schedules:
A. Guinn will rake slopes in preparation of liner and complete fine-grading.
B. The GCL has to be placed five feet from the toe of the south and east slopes.
The liner installer will have to coordinate this when placing HDPE on the floor.
C. Guinn will backfill the anchor trenches.
D. The LCRS pipe will be delivered next week.
E. Allied will rake the slopes of the ash pit.
5. Field observations, problems, conflicts, and changes:
A. Drainage Pipe: the change request from Guinn to use ADS pipe was rejected
for use in the LCRS. For drainage areas outside of the refuse area ADS pipe
is acceptable, Guinn will check to see if they have already ordered the pipe.
B. Guinn was short on the clay and will be using GCL in the LCRS sump.
C. Guinn can utilize clay off the bottom of the stockpile and place it along the
south side of the cell within five feet of the toe in the area that will be covered
with GCL.
D. The western end of the south ash pit road will be field-fit to maintain drainage.
E. At field point 57-56, an anchor trench will be installed across the road so that
liquids coming down the "V" ditch cannot get under the liner.
F. The depth of fill around the LCRS sump needs to be looked at to see if it can
be reduced to keep it from collapsing.
6. Problems which impede the construction schedule and corrective measures:
A. A public hearing on moving the monitoring well in the leachate pond is
scheduled for July 6. If approved, the leachate pond can be constructed.
Vector will talk to Allied concerning the status and who will abandon the well.
7. Review submittal schedules:
A. Guinn submitted a revised construction schedule.
B. Duane will make copies of the weekly safety meetings and provide them to
Butch.
C. Vector approved the pipe perforation submittals.
D. Guinn will review the submittal register to see what remains to be turned in.
n:/986011.01/Weekly Progress Meetings/06-22-99 Meeting 3.doe Page 3
